Rail Corridor Cleanup, from 10am to Noon Saturday 10/24
Join Friends of the Rail & Trail (FORT) and Ecology Action for a cleanup along the railroad tracks on the westside of Santa Cruz.
When: 10am to Noon, Saturday October 24th
Location: Meet where the railroad tracks intersect with Fair Avenue (near Westside New Leaf).
What: Help clean up the rail road corridor by removing harmful debris, all while learning about the benefits and vision of the Rail Trail!
Supplies: We will be providing all cleanup supplies including buckets, bags, latex gloves, grabbers and more. But feel free to bring your own gloves and cleanup tools.
Refreshments: Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Ecology Action and FORT staff and board will be on hand to provide information on the proposed 32-mile Rail Trail from Davenport to Watsonville. This westside section is a central piece of the paved path and is expected to be completed in 2018.
